A document from within this collection states: "In order to provide administrative relief in cases of ministerial incapacity, the Synodical Convention in New York, 1967, granted authority to the Synodical President and the District Presidents to appoint a standing Commission on Ministerial Health." A note indicates that the commission was disbanded in 1989 with some responsibilities transferring to the Department of Human Resources and others to the Commission on Ministerial Growth and Support.
