Biographical / Historical
Rudolf Lange was born on 8 January 1825 at Wartenberg, Silesia, Prussia. He completed his theological studies at the log cabin seminary in Altenburg, Perry County, Missouri, and was ordained on 24 September 1848 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Saint Charles, Missouri. He also served parishes in Defiance, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois, and was a professor at both Concordia College, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, Missouri. He died on 2 October 1892.
