Biographical / Historical
Lammert was born 11 November 1910 at The Grove, Texas, the son of Pastor Friedrich Wilhelm Lammert and Marie (nee Dube) Lammert. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1935 and served as pastor at Brady, Texas, from 1936 to 1942, when he entered the U.S. Army as a chaplain, serving until 1945. He later served parishes in Nofolk, Nebraska; Edna, Raymondville and Channelville. Texas; and Aliceville and Burlington, Kansas.
