Biographical / Historical
Harold Frederick Wageman was born on 20 November 1927 in Wakefield, Nebraska. After graduating from Saint John College in Winfield, Kansas he enrolled in Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis. He graduated in 1952 and was placed in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville, Wisconsin. He then served as Pastor of Good Shepherd and Christ Lutheran Churches in Sheboygan, Wisconsin from 1953-1957. In 1957, Wageman accepted a call as pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pratt, Kansas, where he ministered until 1960. From 1960-1981 he served as Pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Kilgore, Texas. During this time he was the founding pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Longview, Texas. He retired in 1981.
