Biographical / Historical
E.G.H. Miessler was born on 12 January 1826 in Reichenbach, Silesia. From 1851 to 1869 he served as a missionary to the Chippewa in Gratiot and Isabella Counties, Michigan. From 1873 to 1899 he worked as a physician and surgeon in Chicago. He died on 1 March 1916.
