Scope and Contents
The collection contains an authgraph album (1886-1892) that includes an entry by C. F. W. Walther, confirmation certificates for himself and his wife (Anna Marie Sieving), correspondence (1886-1957), a diary (1887), a financial journal (1898-1900), reminiscences of C. F. W. Walther (his grandfather), sermons (1900-1925) and an Index Rerum, a ledger with handwritten entries referencing information in other publications by subject.

Biographical / Historical
Theodore Walther was born on 4 February 1876 in Brunswick, Missouri, the son of Ferdinand G. and Bertha (nee Biltz) Walther, and grandson of C. F. W. Walther. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1898 and served congregations in Babbtown, Kirkwood, and Wellston (Pagedale), Missouri. He also served as a chairman of the Missionary Board of the Synodical Conference and chairman of the board of education of the Western District. Walther died on 14 April 1960.
