Warren E. Messmann Papers

Warren Edward Messmann was born on 26 February 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Messmann attended Valparaiso University, and served in the United States Air Force. He also worked in factories and for IBM before enrolling in Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois in 1973. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne in 1977, and was ordained at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Connersville, Indiana in March of that year. He later served Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rushville, Indiana. In 1984, Messmann returned to Candidate status.
