Biographical / Historical

Francis Andrew Maunula was born on 18 February 1929 in Port Arthur, Ontario. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois in 1954, and was ordained in the National Evangelical Lutheran Church in New York Mills, Minnesota. He served as Pastor to NELC congregations in Menahga, Minnesota and Port Arthur, Ontario, and as Pastor of Christ Lutheran in Superior, Wisconsin (LCMS). He also served as rehabilitation counselor of the Ministry of Community and Social Services in Thunder Bay, Ontario, as Professor of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, and as Dean of Applied Arts and Health Sciences of Confederated College, also in Thunder Bay. He retired in 1993.
