Biographical / Historical
Kuntz was born 7 August 1859 at Birkenfeld, Germany, the son of Jacob P. Kuntz and _____ (nee Kuehnert). He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1884 and served parishes in White Lake (Yorktown) and Wentworth, South Dakota; Lewiston, Saint Paul and Osseo, Minnesota. He was chairman of the Synod's board for missions to the deaf and blind and served as a missionary to the blind in Minneapolis beginning in 1927. He died 3 November 1949 and is buried at Saint Paul, Minnesota.
