Biographical / Historical
George Kuechle was born on 16 October 1888 in Alpena, Michigan. A graduate of Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis (1910), Kuechle served as a missionary in India (1919 to 1923) and Australia (1923 to 1928). While in Australia he also served as a professor. In 1928 he returned to America to become the pastor at Saint Mark in Cleveland, a position he held until 1957. He also held various positions, including general secretary, India Missions (1921); member, Board of Elections, Concordia College, Fort Wayne (1932 to 1944); and member, Board for Missions in North and South America (1950 to 1953).
