Biographical / Historical
Wishart was born May 21, 1877 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of George and Louisa Wishart. He attended Concordia College (Conover, North Carolina) and enrolled at Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis, Missouri) on 7 September 1897, graduating from the latter in 1900. He apparently did not take a call into the ministry but returned to Memphis. His World War 1 Draft Registration Card indicates that he was a merchant. He married Karen Christensen, a native of Denmark. Wishart died in Memphis on July 31, 1922.
