Biographical / Historical
Richard Theodore Kretzschmar was born on 17 May 1868 in Hartha, Saxony, Germany. He attended Concordia College, Milwaukee and Fort Wayne before graduating from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis in 1891. He served the Emmaus Congregation from 1894 until his death on 5 March 1940.
