Biographical / Historical
George Frederick Hoyer was born in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania, on 29 September 1884. He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1908 and was sent to New Zealand. He served there until 1914, when he returned to the United States. He served from 1923 to 1948 as pastor of Zion / Grace Lutheran Church (Niagara Falls, New York). He died on 29 August 1958.
