Biographical / Historical
The congregation was organized on 29 August 1886 by Pastor E. J. Frese from Omaha and was served during its first year by a student named Schriever from the Springfield, Illinois, seminary. It was identified at the time as located in Jefferson Pct., Douglas Co., 3 miles south and a mile east of Bennington and 6 miles west and 2 1/2 mles north of Benson.
