Biographical / Historical
Roland Haas was born on 25 September 1926 in Hollywood, California. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1952, and served as an instructor and professor at Saint Paul College in Concordia, Missouri. He was ordained at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, Missouri in 1957 and served as professor at Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1957-1976. He served as professor at Concordia University in Irvine, California from 1977-1981, and at Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, California from 1981-1996. He also served as Interim minister of several congregations while teaching at Coastline Community College. He received a M.S. in Health and P.E. from Washington University in 1955, and an M.A. in Drawing and Painting from California State University, Long Beach, California in 1977. He retired in 2001.
