Biographical / Historical

George Gude was born on March 29, 1941 in Saint Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Gude enrolled in Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis. He graduated from the Seminary in 1967, and served as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elmhurst Illinois from 1967-1975. He then served as Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pontiac, Illinois from 1975-1980. In 1980, he accepted a call to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey, Illinois. Gude received a Th.D. from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1991, and has served as Vice President of the Southern Illinois District.
