Biographical / Historical
Henry Christian Emil Jungkuntz (21 September 1856: Saint Louis, Missouri - 1 December 1936: Milwaukee, Wisconsin) graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1879. He served parishes in North Judson, Indiana (1879-1889), and Columbia City, Indiana (1889-1923). His parents Georg Heinrich Jungkuntz and Margaret (nee Schaller) Jungkuntz were house parents for students at the Saint Louis seminary. His father drove Dr. C. F. W. Walther's carriage.
