Biographical / Historical
Jahn was born 23 January 1895 at Watertown, Nebraska, the son of Pastor Konrad Gustav and Freda (nee Going) Jahn. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1918 and served parishes at Hecla, South Dakota; Oakes, North Dakota; Columbia Bottoms, Saint Louis County, Missouri; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Little Rock, Arkansas. He held several offices in the Western District of the Missouri Synod and served as chair of the committee to revise Luther's Small Catechism. He died 30 April 1977 and is buried at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
