Biographical / Historical
Delbert Gremmels was born on 19 February 1930 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He attended Concordia High School and College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1955. He served as a missionary in Formosa for 3 years, and then returned to the United States to serve as a military chaplain. After completing Chaplain Officer Basic Course, he served as Chaplain in Fort Hood, Texas, Neckarsulm, Germany, Fort Ord, California and in Vietnam. He then served on the faculty of the Chaplain School, and returned to Chaplaincy. In 1986, he accepted a call to Holy Trinity in Gulfport, Mississippi. He retired from the ministry in 1994.
