Biographical / Historical
Martin Graebner was born on 22 September 1879 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of August L. Graebner. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis in 1901. From 1901 to 1910 he served as a missionary in the Indian Territory and as pastor for Zion Church in Oklahoma City. He served as professor at Saint John College in Winfield, Kansas from 1910 to 1922 and at Concordia College, Milwaukee from 1922 to 1927. From 1927 to 1946 he was the president of Concordia College, Saint Paul. He also held many synodical positions. He died on 13 November 1950.
