Biographical / Historical
Church work was started in 1869, with the official organization date of February 2, 1874. Immanuel joined the Synod in 1874 and started a parochial school that same year.
Immanuel was a member of the Effingham Pastoral Conference, which included: Saint Paul and Zion, Altamont; Immanuel and Saint John Effingham; Saint John, Grace, and Saint Matthew Dietrich; Trinity Stewardson; Saint Paul Siegel; Jehovah Verah; Immanuel Shobonier (Augsburg); Saint Paul Strassburg; Our Saviour Lawrenceville; Saint Peter Saint Peter; Saint Paul Blue Point; Holy Cross Vandalia.
