Scope and Contents

  • NOTE: Kettle Nativity Scene with House of Fontanini Figures
  • M139: kettle, 10" diameter, 7½" high, black, handle on either side, large hole cut in front, small hole cut in back for light, inside is a stable scene of bark, wood roof, and moss and crumbled bark floor
  • M140: second portion of scene, 7" diameter, 5 5/8" high, of bark and moss on a circular particle board base, with a thumbhole in the base to assist in removing the section from storage upside-down inside the kettle, nail [for angel?] on one piece of bark, attached music box plays "Silent Night"
  • M141: "night" light on white cord with attached on/off switch
  • NOTE: Figures are made of light tan plastic with painted decoration. Some figures have "Fontanini" and a date (1988, 1989) on the bottom.
  • M142: Christchild in manger, 1¼" x 1" x 5/8" high
  • M143: Mary, 1 7/8" high, kneeling with hands folded
  • M144: Joseph, 2 1/8" high, kneeling, holding staff
  • M145: shepherd #1, 2½" high, with sheep across shoulders
  • M146: shepherd #2, 2½" high, playing a pipe, scarf around neck
  • M147: sheep, 1" high
  • M148: Wise Man #1 on camel, 2 ½" high, crown on head, red cloak, holding a gold box
  • M149: Wise Man #2 on camel, 2 1/8" high, darker (African?) features, holding a bottle
  • M150: Wise Man #3 on camel, 2 1/8" high, billowing blue cape, holding a bottle
  • M151: angel, 2¾" high, with hole in back for hanging, holding a banner "-GLORIA-"
  • M152: small display sign, "Italy"
