Plate. Emmaus Lutheran Church (Saint Louis, Missouri) 50th Anniversary, 1902 - 1952
Scope and Contents
(JUL 2024 #13 M1) This commemorative plate (10 1/4" diameter) has a line drawing of the front facade of the church building. The obverse has the following inscription: "EMMAUS LUTHERAN CHURCH | ST. LOUIS, MO. | 1902-1952". The reverse reads: "EMMAUS LUTHERAN CHURCH | Emmaus Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod was originally known as the Jefferson Avenue Mission which was founded in 1889. In 1894 it became a congregation and in 1902 the present church building was dedicated. Now in 1952, Emmaus is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the church building". The plate was produced by World Wide Art Studios (Covington, Tennessee) and is in the style: "Rhythm by Homer Laughlin G51N4".
