Plaque. Trinity Lutheran Church (Burr Ridge, Illinois). 125th Anniversary, 1865 - 1990
Scope and Contents
This is a natural wooden plaque (8" x 9"). The main element is a lacquered slice of a tree trunk with the bark still attached. On the obverse is a brass circular plate (5" diameter) imprinted with the following words and symbols: [Cross / Crown Symbol] | SAINTS IN SERVICE | [hand and nine nails inside trinitarian rings] | 1865-1990 | TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH | BURR RIDGE, IL. | IN APPRECIATION OF SPECIAL EFFORT | TOWARD THE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES | OF THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR". Two pennies flank the imprints. The one on the left is an 1865 "Indian Head" penny. One the right is a 1990 "Lincoln" penny. (APR 2022 #10 M1)
