Scope and Contents

This collection of Army Chaplains cups and mugs came from Chaplain Charles Baldwin.

  • AUG 2017 #1 M3 - This is a 4" tall flat footed coffee mug with a handle. There is a gold ring around the rim and the base. It was the Army Chaplain logo over the name, "John L. Stube".
  • AUG 2017 #1 M4 - This is a 5" tall pewter mug with a handle. It has a shield showing a brick bridge underwritten with the words: "ACTS NOT WORDS". The opposite side reads: "CH (MAJ) C. S. BALDWIN | 91st ENGR BN (C)".
  • AUG 2017 #1 M5 - This is a white 4" tall coffee cup with a handle. One side shows, in green, the Army Chaplain logo with the text: "Fort Sheridan | POST CHAPEL | 1977-1995". The opposite side shows the text: "HISTORIC | FORT SHERIDAN TOWER" with an outlined image of the tower.
  • AUG 2017 #1 M6 - This is a white 3 3/4" tall coffee cup with a handle. One side shows the Army Chaplain logo in gold, dark blue, and light blue. The opposite side has the text: "CHAPLAIN CORPS REGIMENT | FOR GOD AND COUNTRY".
  • AUG 2017 #1 M7 - This is a cream 4" tall coffee cup with a handle. One side shows the Army Chaplain logo in black with the text: "INTENSIVE CARE | POST CHAPEL | 1989". The opposite side has the text: "HISTORIC | FORT SHERIDAN TOWER" with an outlined image of the tower.
  • AUG 2017 #1 M8 - This is a speckled, dark cream, 3 3/4" tall coffee cup with a handle. On either side shows the Fort Sheridan Tower shouldered by the flags of Illinois and the United States and the dates 1887-1987. Under the tower has the text: "CENTENNIAL". These are surrounded by the text: "FORT SHERIDAN ILLINOIS | CENTURY OF SERVICE TO THE NATION".
  • AUG 2017 #1 M9 - This is a 4" tall dark blue brandy snifter with handle. It has a golden image in a prolate spheroid shape. It has the outer text: "THE CHAPLAIN SCHOOL OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY". The interior has a banner with the text: "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom" over the Christian cross and Jewish Ten Commandments.
  • AUG 2017 #1 M10 - This is a 4 3/4" tall clear glass tumber. It has a white logo of the Chaplain's - United States Army.
