Physical Description
This silver medal (33mm diameter) shows a bust of Martin Luther (left). Next to Luther is the legend: "SI HANC FIDEI SENTENTIAM MUTAVERO CHRISTUM MUTAVERO". On the left, there are five figures looking right. The legend on the edge reads: "AUGSBURG 1518 LUTHER u. CAJETAN". The reverse has three unbalanced ellipsoids pressing toward the center. The upper shape shows a horse, sun rays, a prone man, and three riders on one horse with the legend: "Gerechtigkeit aus Glauben". The lower right ellipsoid has an image of a woman with the accompanying legend: "Marg Ziegler". the lower left ellipsoid has an image of a man with the legend: "Hans Luther". At the center of all is the legend: "Martin Luther 1483-1546". At the bottom is the date: "1983".
