Physical Description
This bronze medal (62mm diameter) is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the founding of Calvinism. The inverse shows two figures (symbolic?) standing at a pedestal on which the "Biblia Sacra" rests. The surrounding legend reads: "Biblia Fidei et Rationi Restitvta". The lower legend reads: "Liber Apertvs est qvi est Vita". There reverse has a centered crest with the legend: "Post Tenebras Lvx". Around this crest are four busts. At the top is "Johannes Calvin". To the right is "Petrvs Viret". The bottom shows "Theodorvs de Beza". On the left is "Gvilelm Faris". The surrounding legend reads: "·IVBIL·REFORMAT·RELIG·GENEV·TERT·SEC·CELEBR·AVG·D·XXIII·AN·MDCCCXXXV·".
