Physical Description

This is a white Meissen porcelain medal (47mm diameter). The obverse has a bust of Philipp Melanchthon (right) and the legend: "Philipp Melanchthon Praeceptor Germaniae. The reverse has a sylized castle turret graphic over the legend: "Martin Lvther - Ehrung 1983 - Der Deutschen - Demokratischen - Republik" following by the Meissen double sword logo.
