Physical Description
This is a 1930 gilt brass medal (about 2cm diameter) commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession. The obverse shows a portrait (left) of Martin Luther in monk's habit and doctor's cap. The surrounding legend reads: "400th Anniversary Augsburg Confession - 1530-1930". The reverse shows a Luther rose in black, red, white, green, and blue enamel. The surrounding legend reads: "Loquebar de Testimoniis tuis in Conspectu Regum et non Confundebar". There is a red ribbon attached to the hanger. (R 1930-03, similar to CHI medals 663, 664, and 665.) (Copy: 84-5-EMR-407)
