(69-7-LC-1546) This silver medal commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Reformation. The obverse has a quarter-bust of Martin Luther in Talar. The Lower legend has two lines: D. Martini Luther. The surrounding legend reads: "Was Iene Gans Gedacht - Hat Diser Schwan Vollbracht". The reverse has two winged putti in flight with a ribbon. One holds an open Bible and the other holds Luther's Catechism. The surrounding legend reads: "Durch Gottes Gnade Haben Wir: Dis Doppelt Gut zu Dancken Dir". Compare this medal to CHI medals 181 and 182 (R1717-80).
