  • St. Paul's Parish was founded in 1794. In 1804, construction of the frame church was started and dedication took place on St. Paul's Day in 1806. It was replaced by a brick edifice which was consecrated in 1844 by Bishop Lee, first Episcopal Bishop of Delaware. Many memorials have added to its beauty. Recent additions such as the Parish House and Sacristy in 1941, and the porch in 1953, have retained the dignity of the original strucutre. St. Paul's Church has been served by thirty rectors, two of whom were elevated to the Episcopacy.
