Gown. Geneva. Alvin W. Maack, 1929 - 1970
Scope and Contents
The following information was provided by the donor.
This black full length Geneva Gown fashioned by Bentley and Simon of New York was used by Rev. Alvin W. Maack. Rev. Maack graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1929. There have been 6 generations in a row of the Maack family in ministry.
Rev. Maack was a parish pastor and a tent preacher during and after World War 2. Tent preaching attracted persons near military bases and defense plants which sometimes resulted in new ministry startups. Tent preaching evolved into PTR Missions (Preaching Teaching Reaching Missions).
