Biographical / Historical
Gerhardt Hyatt was born on 1 July 1916 in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada. He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1944 and served in North Carolina and as an Army chaplain. He also served as the president of Concordia College (Saint Paul, Minnesota) and as the fourth and the first vice-president of the Missouri Synod.
