Biographical / Historical
The Lutheran High School Association of Saint Louis, Missouri was originally called the Lutheran Association of Higher Education (LAHE). It was formed in 1945. The Association encompassed Lutheran High School, located at the old Mary Institute on Lake and Waterman. This school operated from 1945 to 1957 under the principalship of Dr. Paul W. Lange. Lutheran High School South, located in Affton, was opened in 1957 and Lutheran High School became Lutheran High School Central. Dr. Lange was appointed superintendant of both schools, while Central and South had their own prinicipal. In 1965, Lutheran High School North was opened at Lucas and Hunt Road and Central was closed.
