The collection consists of a small amount of correspondence, mostly requests for financial support; a financial ledger and a book of minutes of the commission's meetings.

Biographical / Historical
The commission was formally created by the synod in 1887, although some work in support of English missions by the German Missouri Synod was going on before convention action. It was discontinued in 1905 because all the districts of the synod were engaged in English work. Some remaining business matters were concluded after that date.
