Physical Description
Brown, black, and silver painted, wooden framed, glass covered lithograph of an original painting by F. W. Wehle, 1882. The picture shows a full-length Martin Luther standing next to a lectern pointing at an open Bible to Romans 3 and 4. Luther is standing on an "Ablass Brief" from Johann Tetzel. A castle can be seen in the distance through a window, perhaps the Wartburg.
