Plate. Grace Lutheran Chapel (Saint Louis, Missouri)
Scope and Contents
The plate has a black and white photograph printed in the flat of the plate. The words "Grace Lutheran Chapel, St. Louis, Missouri" are printed below the photo. There are two concentric gold circles (one on the outer edge and one on the inner rim. The plate was produced by Preston-Hopkinson Co. Appomattox, Virginia. The bottom of the plate has a brief historical summary.

Biographical / Historical
Grace Lutheran Church - St. Louis, Missouri. "The Church with the Bible Story Windows." Members of Grace Lutheran Church of Saint Louis and their pastor, the Reverend G. E. Nitz, sponsored the beginning of Grace Lutheran Chapel in March 1953.
In August 1954 ground was broken for a chapel, the first of three proposed buildings. It was completed and dedicated in June 1955. The second, the new church building, was dedicated in July 1959. The third, a multi-purpose educational building, was dedicated in January 1964.
The history of Grace Chapel Congregation has been one of overall growth. With its buildings complete and its membership stabilized, Grace Chapel Congregation is now concentrating on deepening knowledge and commitment, and broadening dedication for sharing the saving word of the Gospel in community, nation and world.
