(73-10-JAOP-627; 73-10-JAOP-628) #627: A wooden plaque (12" x12") in the shape of Texas with a 3.5" long wooden gavel attached to the surface along with a gold metal inscription plate which reads "Presented to the Rev. Dr. J. A. O. Preus Our Respected and Beloved President by Concordia Congregation San Antonio, Texas 1972." #628: A shield-type plaque (8" x 10") with an enameled, metal Luther's seal attached to the dark brown wood. Beneath the seal is a gold metal inscription plate in the shape of an open book. It reads "CELC 20 Years (Chinese inscription follows) with thanks to God on the twentieth anniversary of the CELC in Taiwan for the self-giving love and nurture of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod." On the back of the plaque a brown paper sheet with a series of Chinese characters is attached. A fold-out wooden stand fits into the back of the plaque.
