Biographical / Historical
Otto Hattstaedt was born on 31 December 1862 in Monroe, Michigan. He was educated at Concordia College, Fort Wayne and Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, graduating in 1884. From 1884 until 1938 he was a professor at Concordia College, Milwaukee. He is the author of "Handbuch der Deutschen Nationalliteratur", "Deutsche Grammatik", "Geschichte des Sued-Wisconsin Distrikts", and several devotional booklets. He died on 29 November 1950.
