Biographical / Historical
Lutheran families living south of the Saint Louis city boundary in the area known as Carondelet formed the church in 1859. Carondelet was originally a French settlement, but gradually became inhabited by Germans. The original name of the congregation was "The First Ev. Lutheran Church of Carondelet". The name was incorporated in 1872 as "Ev. Lutheran St. Trinity Church."

Saint Trinity Cemetery
- A plat of ground was purchased in 1863 on Lemay Ferry Road, two miles south of the city boundary, for the purposes of a cemetery. The cemetery was enlarged in 1924 by purchasing an additional 24 acres on the east end of the original plat. In 2011 Peace Lutheran Church, Lemay, took over ownership of the cemetery.
