Die. Brass. Martin Luther, 400th Birthday, 1938

 Item
Identifier: Pre-1927-37
Scope and Contents

One brass die of a coin with a picture of Martin Luther in the center facing right. The name "Martin Luther" appears to the side. Below the image are the words: "Geb. Den 10. von. 1438." Around the picture of the reformer are the words "Fur Feier des 400 Jahrigen Geburtstagen Luthers in der Amerik. Luth. Kirche." This does not appear to have been to cast the coin, but rather for printing--possibly to publicize the coin for sale?
