Scope and Contents
(APR 2019 #20 M12) The skirt and blouse are mostly white and have layer with a green floral design and lace edging. The blouse is approximately 70 cm long and the very full skirt is 93 cm. The shoes are green velvet with colored specks and muted grey line-drawings.
- There was a note included with the clothing which read: "Panamanian "Pollera" dress (The "real" dress would be embroidered but we couldn't afford - this worked just as well for Carnaval ...1959.)"
- A note included with the shoes stated: "shoes I wore | as a "pollera"".
Information on the box indicates these items came from either Guatemala or Panama via Mary Gussick-Lohrbach.
