Biographical / Historical

Dr. Ardon Albrecht has served the church as missionary in Taiwan, TV producer, and parish pastor. For 17 years, he was producer of "This is the Life," a weekly dramatic TV series of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the International Lutheran Laymen's League. He also produced a number of TV specials including, "Yeshua," a 5 hour miniseries on the life of Christ hosted by Dr. Oswald Hoffmann. His programs won numerous awards, including 8 national Emmys. In recognition of these efforts Christ College, Irvine awarded him a doctor of letters degree in 1987. Beginning in 2002, he produced five seasons of "Point of Truth," a TV worship series for the LCMS shown globally on The Church Channel. In 2012, Synod asked him to come out of retirement to write, produce, and direct "The First Rosa." He and his wife, Edith, live in Simi Valley, California and have five children and eleven grandchildren. [copied from the biographical sketch included in this collection]
