Biographical / Historical

Services began for Saint John Lutheran Church in 1921 when the Texas District Mission Board built a portable chapel. The congregation organized in 1922. The congregation became self-supporting in 1940, and a Christian Day School for Kindergarten through third grade began in 1944. The church building that the congregation was presently using in 196 was dedicated in 1948, with an education building in 1955. In 1962, an addition to the education building was dedicated.
