Biographical / Historical

The first service of Redeemer Lutheran Church was held on October 7, 1928 in rented space. Sunday School began on October 21, 1928. The congregation was organized and a constitution was adopted on March 12, 1929. A house was purchased to serve as both a church and parsonage for 10 years, and was dedicated on October 6, 1929. The pastor and his family moved out into a separate dwelling in September 1939, and this second house served as the parsonage until 1974. Cornerstone laying for a new church building occurred on September 5, 1940. It was dedicated on January 12, 1941. A new building for worship and educational facilities was dedicated on May 10,1970. The congregation closed on December 31, 2012.
