The collection contains papers, sermons, tracts, articles, and photographs. It includes a bound collection of Yiddish tracts written by Landsmann and published by the American Tract Society.

Biographical / Historical
Daniel Landsmann was born in 1837 to orthodox Jewish parents. He was raised to be and educated as a Talmudic scholar. He converted to Lutheranism and served for many years as a missionary in Constantinople. From 1881 to 1896 he worked as a missionary to the Jewish in New York City. He died on 13 May 1896.
