Biographical / Historical

Alfred Theodore Kretzmann was born October 11, 1906 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to Martin Frederick and Elizabeth (nee Wessel). He graduated from Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis) in 1931. He served congregations in Illinois before he withdrew from the LCMS. He joined the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) in 1961.
