Photographs, 1940 to 2003

An large range of photographs came to the collection spread across a number of boxes with a mixed level of accompanying information. They were largely grouped into personal and work-related sets, which has been retained, and original notes have been preserved as much as possible. Storage boxes are organized by date.

The photograph boxes have the following contents:

• Personal photographs dated 1946 to July 1963. Organized via envelopes and well labeled.
• Personal photographs dated August 1963 to May 1970. Work photographs from boxes labeled "Monterrey '41 | Guatemala '46-47 to May '54" and "Spring '55 – July '61". Organized via envelopes and well labeled.
• Work photographs from boxes labeled "Sep '61 – Dec '66", "Jan '67 - Dec '72" and "Jan '73 -". Organized via envelopes and well labeled.
• Personal photographs including a few older sets dated from 1940s onwards, undated and multidate sets covering different decades, and sets dated from 1970 to 1984. Subjects are sometimes noted.
• Personal photographs with sets dated from 1985 to 2003. Subjects are sometimes noted.
• Mainly work-related photographs dating from the 1940s to October 1991, generally with the subject of the set also noted. Some sets were undated and some dates have been estimated based on the context. Folders containing portraits of the Gussicks and notable co-workers are easily accessible.
• Mainly work-related photographs dating from October 1991 to 2003, generally with the subject of the set also noted.
